No soil amendments are added, enabling the soil to impart its pure influence upon the vines.

Organically and dry farmed by the Hellenthal family, this vineyard straddles the ridge of parent rock, giving it the unique position of facing both north and south.

Harvested in multiple passes, thereby obtaining maximum expression of the site.

The resulting wine is bright and delicate, offering light perfume and great transparency.


Dom Serene Evenstad Reserve, Willamette Valley

The first act for this wine unleashes a veritable symphony of powerful aromas: chocolate, cassis, forest floor, cedar and roasted espresso bean.


Delectus, Knights Valley


Delectus Knights Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is from a vineyard almost directly on the other side of the valley from what was their own vineyard at the time.

It is ruby red color in the glass with an elegant bouquet interwoven nicely with both vanilla and red fruit aromas. This wine is bright and lively on the palate with good acidity.

It does have higher alcohol but that isn’t really noticeable on the palate.

Just a touch of white pepper spice shows on the lingering finish.

Rich chocolate and raspberry purée highlight this blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc.

High in alcohol, it tastes powerful and a bit bittersweet, with dusty, chalky tannins.


Hyde de Villaine Belle Cousine, Napa Valley

Black and red currant emerge in the nose as hints of sweet, dry basil and black pepper cavort their way upwards.

All of the Cabernet Sauvignon is from our 27.78 acre Reserve Block here at the Estate.

Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon clusters are night harvested, allowing the fruit to remain cool for cluster sorting followed by berry sorting, all done by hand.

The must is then cold soaked for up to five days.

After fermentation is complete, barrel aging takes place in our dedicated, gravity-flow, and dual level Reserve barrel rooms.

The wine is racked barrel to barrel and aged for 22 months in 100% new French oak, followed by over a year of bottle-aging.

The 2012 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon shows the intrinsic black stone fruit nuances and the elegant tannin structure that define our Oakville, Napa Valley-floor Cabernet.


Turley Zinfandel Salvador Vineyard, Contra Costa County, USA


Salvador Vineyard in Contra Costa County is a paragon of old vine Zinfandel.

These organically farmed vines were planted on their own roots in 1896.

The roots are free to roam deeply as the soil is solid sand for 40 feet down.
