Watch MobLand on Paramount+ – The series was originally intended to be a prequel to Ray Donovan. In February 2024, Paramount+ released the premise of the series, which was to be titled the Donovans, stating, “With the most powerful clients in Europe, The Donovans will see family fortunes and reputations at risk.
Odd alliances unfold, and betrayal around every corner; and while the family might be London’s most elite fixers today, the nature of their business means there is no guarantee what’s in store tomorrow.”

Storyline for MobLand on Paramount+
Power is up for grabs as two warring crime families clash in a battle that threatens to topple empires.
In the crossfire stands Harry Da Souza, a street-smart ‘fixer’ who knows too well where loyalties lie when opposing forces collide.
The story that pushes the first season of MobLand is pretty straightforward: Despite his years as the head of the Harrigan family, Conrad Harrigan is always looking for more.
He’s also as bloodthirsty and ruthless as it gets, as we see when he gathers his kids — Kevin and Brendan (Daniel Betts), plus Seraphina (Mandeep Dhillon), who is not Maeve’s daughter — and Archie to tell them about his push into the fentanyl business.
He only needs a whiff that Archie may be playing both sides to make his childhood friend pay a high price.
So there is definitely going to be a war between the Harrigans and Stevensons, with Harry De Souza caught in the middle.
For some reason, though, the prospect of a mob war by itself doesn’t feel like it’s going to be compelling enough to hold viewers’ interest.
Where the series will have to go is to really dive into the emotions and personalities of the principals involved in these two families, especially the Harrigans.
