2026 Bentley Bentayga – Bentley’s 2026 Bentayga Speed Blends Grit and Grandeur in Equal Measure.
If the Continental GT is a bit too quaint for your everyday needs, Bentley offers the Bentayga as a more substantial villa on wheels.
From its bedazzled maw to its supple, leather-laden cabin, the Bentayga doesn’t sacrifice any signature Bentley style in the name of a larger frame.
Three powertrain options are available under its lengthy bonnet, ranging from a 443-hp plug-in hybrid to a 641-hp twin-turbo V-8 in the aptly named Bentayga Speed.
Despite its sporty aspirations, the Bentayga places luxury at the forefront and is rivaled only by the Rolls-Royce Cullinan and Mercedes-Maybach GLS600 when it comes to big-body, five-seat opulence.
2026 Bentley Bentayga – Engine Transmission and Performance
Bentley offers several powertrains for the Bentayga.
On the low end, you have a 443-hp hybrid arrangement with a turbocharged 3.0-liter V-6 and an electric motor; Azure and S hybrids offer a slightly more powerful 456-hp version of the electrified powertrain, and a 542-hp twin-turbo V-8 engine is available in the S V-8.
Regardless of what’s under the hood, all Bentaygas utilize an eight-speed automatic transmission and come standard with all-wheel drive.
With either powertrain, acceleration is fierce, and the Bentayga offers a placid ride.
For the record, it can hustle down a curvy road better than its chief ultra-luxury SUV rival, the Rolls-Royce Cullinan, if that’s the motivating factor in deciding between the two.
When tested the new Bentayga Speed, we were impressed by its prodigious thrust but noted some turbo lag and ride harshness in Sport mode.
2026 Bentley Bentayga – Interior Comfort and Cargo
Filled with rich-smelling leather, real wood trim, and glitzy metal accents, the Bentayga’s cabin stays true to its luxury breeding.
Buyers can opt for front and rear buckets or select a three-across second-row bench.
While the rear seat doesn’t feel as lavish as that of the Rolls Cullinan’s it still has plenty of space for adult passengers to stretch out in.
The long-wheelbase model offers more legroom and additional amenities, so that’s the one to buy if you’re planning on being chauffeured. It’s still a two-row vehicle, and it can be ordered with 22-way-adjustable rear bucket seats that massage and recline up to 40 degrees.
Two different mother-of-pearl-faced Breitling dash clocks are available as is a bottle cooler for rear-seat passengers, adjustable ambient interior lighting, and even a safe with a biometric lock and fingerprint reader.
The Bentayga’s cargo area is generous; we were able to fit nine carry-on suitcases back there.
Bentley allows customers to customize just about everything inside through its Mulliner bespoke-build department—for a hefty price, of course.
